The fifth full service facility of the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region, this new 45,500 square foot Family Center filled a void in the fast-growing Tri-Lakes Area when it opened in the Spring of 2008. The Center provides a permanent home to the many sports camps and programs that had previously been forced to occupy ‘rented’ facilities.

• Planned expansion of the Strength & Conditioning Area, augmented by the addition of a second auxiliary Gym, Racquet ball Courts and an additional pool for the Aquatics Center.

• Site is designed to reduce and treat storm water runoff.
• Site lighting is designed to reduce light pollution to adjacent properties.
• Landscape features include native drought tolerant grasses & shrubs.
• Domestic water consumption is reduced by the use of low flow showers toilet fixtures and lavatories.
• Energy consumption is reduced by utilizing a heat recovery mechanical system.
• Recycling collection points are provided throughout the building.
• Low emitting materials are used for improved indoor air quality and reduced building maintenance.
• Extensive use of daylighting with “state of the art” electric light controls saves energy.
• Cabling infrastructure provides for state of the art technology, network, communications, and security systems.
